Christmas Holidays
The Ark
children’s club and The Rock Youth Club will be on holiday for two weeks on
25th December and 1st January. They will restart on Thursday 8th
January, The Ark at 6.30pm and The Rock at 8.00pm.
Christmas Carol Service
The
children in The Ark are looking forward to performing their Christmas

Discipleship Explored

Evangelical Church
ran this course which is a follow up to the Christianity Explored course we
undertook in January. The second part of the course is due to take place on
Tuesday Evenings during October 2008 at 7.30pm.
The Ark
Summer Special 'Champions Challenge'
The Ark
summer special took place each evening from Monday 15th to Friday 14th
August 2008 from 7.00 - 8.15pm. The children who attended had a great
time with the many activities including games, singing, stories, quizzes and
crafts.
Fun Day 2008
The
Children's Fun Day took place on the afternoon of Saturday 9th August
2008. Many activities were organised for the children including face
painting, circus tricks and the bouncy castle. It started poorly due to
poor weather and the failure of the bouncy castle supplier to deliver as
promised. However, another supplier was found who was able to provide a
castle without notice and the weather improved to allow it to be set up on
the patio at the rear door of the church. The many children who
attended had a good time and many signed up for the summer children's club.
Woman's Gospel Meetings
It is with
regret that the committee who organise the Women's Gospel meeting have
decided that this service should close. It served the women of the
community for many years. Last session (2007/8) it was convened once per
month but due to decreasing numbers and an increasingly elderly group who
were meeting, it was decided that it had served its purpose and it was time
to close. Victoria

is grateful to the women who worked hard in this service over the years and
to those who supported it regularly.
The Rock Youth Club
The Rock
Youth Club has restarted and all youth in the area are welcome to join us
each Thursday from 8.00 - 9.30pm. more info.
Woman's Gospel Meetings
The women's
Gospel meeting now takes place monthly on the first Wednesday of each month.
All ladies are invited to join with us at 2pm. more info.
The Ark
Children's Club
The Ark Children's
Club has restarted for 2008 and continues to run each Thursday at 6.30pm. All
boys and girls of primary school age are welcome to join us. more info
Christianity explored restarted on Tuesday 14th January
2008. It is a ten week course exploring the basic Christian beliefs. It
was previously completed successfully in March 2007 and is being repeated due
to this previous success. It takes place every Tuesday from 7.30 - 9.00pm and
everyone is welcome.
The Fun Day will take place on Saturday 11th August
2007 from 1-3pm where boys and girls can enjoy the bouncy castle and
other games and adults can relax with a tea or coffee.
The Ark
summer special will take place each evening from Monday 13th to
Friday 17th August 2007 from 7.00 - 8.15pm. Primary school children can
enjoy a range of activities. The Ark
will then take place each Thurdsay at 6.30 - 7.30pm. More info.
Christianity Explored
Christianity
explored is a ten week course exploring the basic Christian beliefs. It was
completed successfully in March 2007 and a similar type of course is likely to
be offered in the near future.
Senior
Citizens Evenings are held twice a year. Transport can be arranged and the
informal evening service is ended with a bite of supper. For more
